Set in the early 1900’s, on Aunt Esther’s 287th birthday, Citizen Barlow—a young man in spiritual turmoil— comes to Pittsburgh’s Hill District seeking asylum. Aunt Esther sets him off on a spiritual journey to find a city in the middle of the Atlantic.
